METPOINT- the new measurement standard from BEKO.

http://www.hazeng.co.uk/images/PROSYS_014_cmyk.jpgProfitability is everything in a competitive environment. BEKO Technologies, the market leaders in compressed air technology, boast a comprehensive program of systems designed to save energy and improve efficiency in the application of compressed air.

From BEKO’s perspective, one of the key areas requiring attention in most production fa-cilities is the acquisition and analysis of data regarding compressed air use. Indeed, many plant managers are simply unaware of how much air is used or how much each cubic me-tre of air costs.

Space-saving and powerful: New membrane dryer version

http://www.hazeng.co.uk/images/stories/DRYPOINT%20M%20PLUS-space%20saving%20and%20powerful.jpgThe DRYPOINT® M PLUS membrane dryers with an integrated nanofilter made by BEKO TECHNOLOGIES, Neuss, Germany, have proven themselves particularly useful when employed downstream of compressors (in satu-rated compressed air which is warmer than the ambient air).

However, there have up to now been restrictions regarding the employment of the DRYPOINT® M PLUS standard dryer, primarily in plant construction or in mobile sys-tems because of the limited installation height in certain applications.

James Fisher Sails Away with Artesis

http://www.hazeng.co.uk/images/stories/newsletter/Mimic-and-Mcm.jpghttp://www.hazeng.co.uk/images/stories/newsletter/Mimic-and-Mcm.jpgArtesis, a leading supplier of intelligent predictive maintenance solutions, has recently partnered with marine specialists James Fisher Mimic to integrate its Motor Condition Monitor (MCM) solution with the marine company’s industry leading Mimic condition monitoring system. The powerful combination of technologies has resulted in a highly efficient and unparalleled maintenance solution that is specifically targeted at inaccessible, high cost, critical assets in the marine sector.

James Fisher Mimic (JFM), providers of reliability engineering and condition monitoring solutions to the International Shipping Industry, has fully integrated the Artesis MCM solution to analyse motor current performance within their Mimic predictive maintenance product. This detailed information, in conjunction with other maintenance data, then provides an in depth analysis and overall picture of machine health and performance.

LG Motion launch new one-source catalogue for medium to high precision manual and motorised positioning

http://www.hazeng.co.uk/images/stories/LG_NewCatalogue_PR_1.jpgNew catalogue includes UniSlide, BiSlide and XSlide™ linear dovetail slide stages plus complementary rotary and vertical elevating stages – for the first time LG Motion Limited, the Basingstoke based motion and positioning systems specialists has launched a new catalogue covering a large part of its range of medium to high precision positioning mechanics.  With complete engineering specifications and dimensions for the UniSlide, BiSlide and XSlide™ dovetail-slide linear tables plus complementary rotary and vertical elevating stages, the 40 page catalogue provides detailed information for manual or motorised positioning applications in all areas of manufacturing and research.

For the first time, the new catalogue brings together these modular positioning elements as a complete range of simple yet flexible building blocks for single or multi-axis positioning systems where economic pricing and uncompromised performance are important selection criteria for medium duty and medium to high precision applications.

Wellhead Control Technology

Gyda field re-development focuses on ease of maintenance and space saving. The Norwegian Gyda field, located between Ula and Ekofisk in the southern part of the North Sea, proven in 1980 started production in June 1990. Developed with a combined drilling, accommodation and processing facility with a steel jacket, the facility supplies approximately 14,000 barrel of oil per day. The Gyda field is considered amongst many, as a mature field in terms of current reserve depletion. Gyda is ideally suited to owners Talisman Energy’s North Sea strategy, which focuses on mature and small field development, with ample potential for significant new investment.

Manufacturers reduce total costs through better lubrication practices

Barrels of CastrolIn today’s environment, many manufacturers are focusing on total cost of ownership to help them sustain competitive advantage. This approach filters through to the way they identify and approach the best suppliers and partners to work with. Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is the approach that Castrol Industrial has adopted for many years to help customers improve their maintenance and production activities. Every one of Castrol’s lubrication offers can create value in the TCO area.

When considering total cost of ownership, manufacturers review and assess the direct and indirect costs and benefits of the materials they purchase. This includes the initial outlay of purchasing e.g. the unit price of products and the volume purchased (direct costs) and any indirect costs affected by product usage e.g. equipment wear rate, safety risks, maintenance costs.

Ex rated Explosion Proof Housing for Optical Sensor Range.
