Besides the required compressed-air quality, great importance was attached to an absolutely reliable plant control and data transmission, as the system operates continuously and without supervision. The dryer is controlled by a PLC (programmable logic controller). All process data is indicated at the control cabinet and transmitted to the primary control unit via "Ethernet". The electrical control was designed in close cooperation with the plant operator, in accordance with the in-house standard of the facility.
There were no issues at all after one year, on the occasion of the preventive maintenance. All the customer’s requirements were met or exceeded, and the required compressed-air quality supplied.
"The hopes we placed on EverAir, a company of the Beko group were entirely fulfilled", commented the customer. " We activated the plant and, afterwards, we could forget about it, so to speak."
The dryer supplies a volume of 5,500 Nm?/h with a pressure dew point of -40 °C. Compressed air which is not required for the application is fed into the general operational network for the shop air.

The imperative in industry to cut energy costs and reduce green house gases is good news for suppliers of high efficiency motors. However, the projected efficiency gains from using EFF1 or 2 type machines will not be achieved if motor system and supply problems that existed before they were installed are not resolved. One of the most common of these is low power factor.
The new belt tension tester from Econobelt uses sound waves instead of force deflection to accurately measure tension. The portable, lightweight and easy-to-use meter produces repeatable results for any operator. It can be used in almost any environment and produce fast results, calculated in seconds. The unit, identified as the 507C runs on four AAA batteries.
The Fastening & Assembly Solutions Exhibitions are specialist niche events that tend to reflect the health of the UK manufacturing industry
Oil level indication is a vital part of any system and requires a quick and simple checking procedure. Ideally a quick visual sight check during other regular maintenance
Corus Process Engineering (CPE), part of Corus Northern Engineering Services (CNES) has successfully completed the manufacture and assembly of two, six-metre diameter steel lifting girdles that will be used to remove (lift and tail) the 400-tonne heat exchangers from the reactors at Calder Hall nuclear power plant in Cumbria.
CG Flooring Systems (CGFS) provided the perfect solution to a flooring problem for a multi-metal and steel stockholder, Aalco, at their Halesowen plant.
