Banelec Receive QAN/QAR Accreditation

Banelec are proud to announce that they have achieved QAN / QAR accreditations on 12th July 2017.

Banelec have worked in hazardous area control systems for many years, building for many of the well-known names in the industry. By recently expanding into larger premises and partnering with Bartec we can now offer a direct service and cut lead times for our customers.

By passing the QAN / QAR audits and gaining ATEX and IECEX accreditation as a competent accredited provider to the industry, we are positive this can only help us improve on the fast and reliable service we already offer.

EMADA Launched to Combat 12,000 Workplace Respiratory Deaths

The Extraction Manufacturers and Designers Association (EMADA) recently hosted its launch event at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham.

Workplace extraction and ventilation is critical to the health and wellbeing of employees and despite many employers appreciating this position, UK industry is responsible for 12,000 workplace related respiratory deaths every year.

This staggering statistic is also responsible for over 400,000 lost working days every year and there isapproximately 14,000 new workplace breathing or lung related conditions reported every year. BINDT Hosts Successful Ionising Radiation Regulations 2017 Event

Following a popular Session D presentation at the Annual British Conference on Non-Destructive Testing (NDT 2017) by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE), a follow-up event was held at the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT) headquarters in Northampton to appraise attendees of the new Ionising Radiation Regulations 2017.

The Ionising Radiation Regulations (IRR) event was presented by James Taylor, Principal Specialist Inspector (Radiation Team), HSE, and held on 11 October 2017. The free event was spread over two sessions with the aim of providing delegates with the latest information on the new regulations (IRR17) that will be implemented from 1 January 2018.
