The free CLP/GHS Guide & Webinar! Don’t miss out!

12-05 04After June 2015, all dangerous chemical substances and mixtures need to carry a predefined CLP-label. In June 2015, the transition period ends for mandatory CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging) chemicals labelling in the European Union. Now is the time to act! Download the free CLP/GHS Solutions Guide & Join the 20 minutes Webinar!

CLP for all dangerous substances

CLP is a mandatory European Union regulation which requires, amongst other obligations, the clear identification of products containing dangerous chemicals. The EU’s CLP regulation is based on the United Nation’s Globally Harmonised System for chemical substances and, from June 2015 onwards, compliance to CLP is required for dangerous chemicals and mixtures in all EU member states. Every substance listed as dangerous, and every mix containing one of these dangerous substances, also needs to carry a CLP label as of June 2015.

E2S Warning Signals gains additional global approvals for the E2x series of signals

12-05 02The E2x series of high performance non-sparking alarm horn sounders, Xenon strobe beacons and combined devices from E2S, the world’s leading independent manufacturer of warning signals, have gained approval for Zone 2, 22 applications to the latest IECEx and ATEX standards for gas and dust applications, complementing its existing Class I & II Division 2 UL and cULs approvals. The main enclosure is manufactured from lightweight, corrosion proof PPS, and the re-entrant horns from high impact, fire retardant ABS. Selected models are available with the innovative 360° radial horn option. The robust construction and electronics with certification from the world’s leading approval bodies ensure that the E2x signals can be installed in the harshest of operating environments with complete confidence.

E2S Warning Signals provide the critical final link for the Philippines’ tsunami warning system

12-05 01The 26 December 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami killed 230,000 people in 14 countries, and swamped coastal communities with waves up to 30 metres high. Following this tragic event, the UN set up the Indian Ocean Tsunami Warning System, and although not directly affected by the 2004 disaster, the Philippines have set up a similar early warning system. Areas on the west coast of the islands, which face the Manila trench located between The Philippines and Vietnam, are at particular risk and the project is being progressively rolled out from the densely populated coastal towns and cities to the rest of the region.

DRYPOINT® RA eco: Refrigeration dryer with a plus in efficiency

april-27-1Full flexibility between the smallest delivered quantities and the peak load – with this, the new refrigeration dryers of the DRYPOINT® RA eco series from BEKO TECHNOLOGIES achieve decisive efficiency gains as regards the energy consumption. With fluctuating compressed-air removal or changed ambient conditions, the energy consumption can now optimally be adjusted to the demand. Compared to conventional refrigeration dryers, which are generally designed to meet the maximum requirements, which has the potential to save up to 80% of the operating costs in the partial-load range.
