The RS Clare Range

R.S. Clare rangeIntroduction

The R.S. Clare range of advanced Valve Lubricants for the Oil & gas Industry has been developed in conjunction with Original Equipment Manufacturers and Production, Drilling and Service operators.

R.S. Clare's valve lubricants have been well proven in the field providing the user with 'failsafe' and 'cost effective' valve lubrication.

In the exploration and production of crude oil & natural gas, severe problems can be encountered due to the presence of H2S, CO2, condensate, hydrocarbon solvents, acids and other chemicals present in the well production system.

Vibration Analysis

Vibration AnalysisVibration is the response of a system to an internal or external stimulus causing it to oscillate. While it is commonly thought that vibration itself damages machines, it does not. Instead it is the damage done by dynamic stress that causes fatigue of the materials: the dynamic stresses are caused by vibration. That is to say that different machines have a different toleration to vibration.

There are literally hundreds of specific problems that can cause a machine to exhibit excessive vibration. To locate the root cause of vibration an analysis of the vibration is required. The forces that cause vibration are usually generated through the rotating motion of the machine's parts or electrical supply frequency. When a fault condition occurs the problem will exhibit characteristics that are directly related to these frequencies.

doseBadge Personal Noise Dosemeter

ImageThe doseBadge is the unique way to measure Occupational and Industrial noise exposure. Different to a traditional Noise Dosemeter, the doseBadge has no cables or buttons, and is controlled, via an InfraRed link, from the RC:110A Reader unit.

The doseBadge has no buttons or controls and is contained in a robust metal case which prevents damage to the unit. The doseBadge logs, measures and stores noise data throughout the measurement and this data is downloaded to the Reader unit for review and analysis.

By eliminating cable and controls from the doseBadge, the user can be sure that the person being measured cannot have tampered with the measurement and that the data is valid. The CR:110A version of the doseBadge has been designed to meet the needs of the new EU Physical Agents (Noise) Directive as well as a range of other noise measurement standards.

NEWS FROM BEKO TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED

ImageBEKO BECOMES NEW EVERAIR ASSOCIATE

Beko Technologies have recently become the joint largest shareholder in EverAir Technology GMBH. Pro-Air Engineering, a compressed air and systems provider in China and Taiwan with over 200 employees is also a partner in the deal.

Based in Hilden, Germany, EverAir is a young and innovative company specialising in the development and construction of equipment used for compressed air and technical gas processing- in particular in the area of large adsorption dryers.

EverAir is managed by Herbert Blauscheck and Frank Mueller, who between them have more than 50 years experience in the compressed air industry, latterly for many years working for Ultrafilter. With their expertise and experience Beko can claim to have access to the foremost authorities on adsorption drying in Germany, if not the whole of Europe.

Structural Adhesives for Engineers

ImageStructural bonding as an alternative to mechanical fixing, riveting or welding has become increasingly popular amongst engineers in recent years. New technical advances and the development of new bonding solutions have dramatically improved the performance of structural adhesives. These improvements have led to a reduction in the time it takes to repair plant and machinery, manufacture goods, and improve finished end products. All of these benefits have contributed to the dramatic take up of structural adhesives particularly in the metal, plastics, composites and wood bonding applications.

Engineering Management Schools, Degrees & Training Programs

ImageBecause modern industry requires managers who are fluent in technology and also engineers who understand business, Engineering Management schools train students in both areas. Core studies in engineering and business subjects can be applied to many different types of employment and create opportunities to work in a number of different businesses.

Many Engineering Managers work in manufacturing. You can also train to work in areas as diverse as Environmental Engineering, participating in projects to improve water and air quality, or Plant Engineering, with responsibility for the installation of equipment in industrial settings.

Engineering Management Duties
Graduates of Engineering Management schools normally expect to work in a supervisory capacity. Your duties would include managing people with differing types of expertise, and coordinating their input to bring engineering projects to a successful conclusion. You would use your good communication skills to ensure that your team worked well together, and your trained business abilities to manage projects within timescales and budgets.
