PFA Linings Aid Safe Transport Of Hazardous Liquids

PFA lined pumps and valves fixed to road and rail tankers and wagons are helping to ensure the safety of European roads, railways and waterways as the amount of dangerous liquids being carried increases.

JDN Hoists Provide 200 Tonne Handling Capacity On Offshore Rig

Four J D Neuhaus type EH50 air operated monorail hoists have been supplied and mounted by Westcon Løfteteknikk AS of Bergen to the Maersk offshore rig Guardian.

These products have been specified for the synchronised lifting and handling of an 18.3/4” 15,000psi BOP unit before and after drilling operations. Two hoists are each mounted on twin parallel overhead rails, with each hoist providing 50 tonne load and 20 metre lift capacities for between deck operations. (Read More)

Government to Charge Businesses’ £124hr For Health And Safety Fails.

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has recently confirmed that its cost recovery scheme, Fee for Intervention (FFI), will start on 1 October 2012, meaning that business owners need to start taking a more pro-active approach now.
