Why we use real data on all our ATEX fan performance curves

Getting the proper performance out of your fan is crucial whatever your application.

Some fan manufacturers carry out random tests on their fans, but very few test systematically across their whole range. We are committed to testing the performance of all our ATEX fans. So, we can guarantee that your fan performance curves use real data and not theoretical figures.

Why are real data performance curve charts so crucial to your industry?

We have invested in a comprehensive testing facility engineered to measure fan performance across a broad spectrum of fan sizes and air volumes.

Our testing rigs meet BS EN ISO 5801:2017 standard requirements and are regularly monitored through independent audits. ACI fans destined for explosive environments are certified to both ATEX and IECEx regulations and meet the requirements of ISO 80079-36:2016 / ISO 80079-37:2016.

To carry out testing pressure measurements are taken at various points on the test rigs along with the motor current to determine the exact airflow throughout the fan’s operating range.

Once we have collated all the relevant data, we can provide you with the test results and plot your fan's pressure vs flow curve. The graphical output displays airflow, pressure, motor current, noise, power, and efficiency.

If required for your ATEX projects, we can offer 'witnessed testing' that involves carrying out a fan performance test in front of you or via video link to prove our solutions meet your required duty point.

With real data, there is no guesswork involved. We can guarantee that your ATEX fans will perform, as shown on our published performance curve charts.

We know what the performance is across the operating range. From your perspective, we can advise you on the most efficient and economical solution for any given applications. Not only that, but we can also demonstrate the results.

Our test report also helps you understand the application's lifetime costs, which is essential to your purchasing decision.

Systematic testing is the only way to measure and prove your ATEX fan performance. Otherwise, you rely on estimation. Are you willing to take that gamble?
