IChemE’s (Institution of Chemical Engineers) annual Hazards conference takes place in Manchester, UK on 18–20 May 2020. This is an ideal event for anyone who is active in process safety and risk management for chemical process facilities or other facilities dealing with hazardous materials.
Hazards 30 is an international, industry-focused conference, the largest annual event of its kind in Europe. Hundreds of process safety practitioners from around the globe are expected to attend, in order to share practical experiences, learn from each other and network with peers and industry experts.
There will be a packed programme of technical presentations exploring every major aspect of process safety. Industry practitioners, regulators and academics will share examples of good practice, new techniques and approaches, and lessons learned from past incidents and near-misses, helping delegates to reflect on their own operations and how to make their processes safer.
A large trade exhibition will run alongside the conference sessions, showcasing products and services to help improve process safety performance. The latest list of exhibitors is available on the conference website, as well as information about the exhibition and sponsorship packages still available. Also on the agenda at Hazards 30, are workshop sessions, poster presentations, an interactive panel discussion, and social and networking opportunities. It’s a milestone year for Hazards, with 2020 marking 60 years since the first Hazards conference was held, also in Manchester. Since then, the event has grown in size and influence, continuing to be at the forefront of sharing new knowledge and disseminating good process safety practice across the process industries and beyond. There’s never been a better time to attend!
