Hazardous Area Remote Camera System

AGL Automation Ltd are delighted to announce the Meteor MCE-MRC-EX Hazardous Area Remote Camera.

The MRC-EX is designed for real time monitoring of hazardous area locations. Applications include monitoring the status of plant and equipment in offshore locations and visual confirmation of alarms such as water level in pumping stations. The cameras are easy to install and are controlled and configured via the MeteorCloud viewing and analysis system. The MRC-EX has also been approved for use on the Tampnet Offshore 4G Network.

The MCE-MRC-EX Remote Camera delivers high-quality real-time images from remote assets within Zone 1 & 2 Hazardous areas where data and mains power connections may not be available. With ultra-low power consumption, the camera can be powered from a solar power source all year round. Images are transferred in real time via 4G with 3G/GPRS fallback, providing robust image transfer even from areas with poor mobile coverage. The camera is housed in an IP66 Ex-rated enclosure and has an integrated RF Isolator allowing antenna to be mounted inside or outside the zone with no need for mechanical co-ax cable protection. The camera has excellent low light performance with inbuilt IR or white light illuminator for clear, crisp images in any conditions. A selection of optics and filters can be specified to suit specific applications. Camera configuration and firmware updates can be performed remotely. Images are sent to the MeteorCloud for secure viewing and analysis online. Options are available to integrate directly into existing customer applications. The camera GPIO allows direct connection of local sensors like level switches and PIR sensors. The camera can send pictures at scheduled intervals and be setup to trigger automatically from local sensors to provide additional images and alerts to users and enter enhanced polling modes. The camera can also be controlled by the user from their Meteor Cloud login to send ad hoc images and trigger Enhanced Polling modes.
