Chief Executive of HMi Elements, Howard Gould, said: “We have designed and manufactured computers for the oil and gas industry since the 1980s and this is by far the best Zone 1 product we or anyone else in the industry has ever created.

“The HMi 1301-Z1 will play a crucial role helping some of the biggest companies in the industry source and extract oil and gas.

MORE “It combines show-stopping design with rugged toughness that is built to withstand all the challenges faced in any Zone 1 environment.

“It is incredibly intuitive and easy to use with features including touchscreen controls and we can also tailor the input connectors to the specific needs of the user.”

All HMi Elements’ products undergo rigorous testing and auditing so they are certified to use in zoned areas.

“Our class-leading products have stood the test of time; we’ve been at the forefront of hazardous area computer innovation for 30 years,” adds Mr Gould.

“Our customers - some of the world’s leading oilfield services companies – understand that buying cheaper products is a false economy because they don’t have our level of reliability, quality or innovation.

“Our products are an investment that always pays dividends over many years, not a quick, cheap fix that then need replacing a year or so later.

“We never set out to be the cheapest, only the best, in the knowledge that the cheapest is rarely the least expensive.”
