Southern Manufacturing returns to Farnborough

Southern Manufacturing & Electronics will make a welcome return to Farnborough from February 8th to 10th 2022.

The show’s eagerly-awaited revival comes as engineering firms across the country are getting back to business and keen to reinvigorate their order books. Happily, many of the show’s regular participants have weathered the turbulent conditions of the last 20 months and are now eager to pitch their stalls at the UK’s longest running and largest annual engineering show. As in previous years, the show features an incredible array of high-tech automation, mechanical and electronics components, tooling, industrial hardware, business and subcontract services from all over the UK, continental Europe and beyond.

Among the big names returning for 2022, Brady will highlight examples from its wide range of automated labelling solutions that include industrial-grade labels, automated label printing software and automated print & apply systems. Solutions on show include the Wraptor A6200 Wrap Printer Applicator, designed to greatly speed-up labelling operations.

C.K Tools will showcase its popular premium range of ESD compliant pliers, precision pliers, tweezers and screwdrivers, together with its wide range of C.K VDE approved screwdrivers and pliers which have become must-have items for professional electricians’ toolkits.

Secure embedded memory products will be showcased by Nexus Industrial Memory. Its Flexxon’s X-PHY solid state drives (SSD) was selected by Lenovo for what are expected to be the world’s first ‘all-in-one’ AI cybersecurity laptops. The SSDs are proving popular in embedded systems as security is implemented in the drive’s firmware, which monitors for threats in real-time and locks down the moment a threat is detected. Other well known names returning for 2022 include TDK-Lambda power supplies, CamdenBoss enclosures, Henkel-Loctite, Ambersil, sensors from ESI technology, vacuum products and equipment from Leybold UK and literally hundreds more.

The show is likewise a superb spot for sourcing industrial fixtures and fittings. Bott returns to Southern to highlight its extensive range of workplace storage equipment systems that incorporate Lean, 5S and Six Sigma methodologies, to promote efficiency and productivity in the workplace. Kanya demonstrates its modular aluminium extrusion assembly system, designed to make it quick and easy to create custom machine build, guard, test rigs, trollies, partitions or any other applications.

There is also a wide range of business planning and management tools on show, such as HR and time management systems from T-Cards and Allday Systems. MIE will be on hand to demonstrate its MIETrak Pro industry-specific ERP software solution, designed to streamline operations across the entire workflow process. Features include cost control, MRP, scheduling, reporting, quoting, inventory control, real time tracking plus much more.

Together with the exhibition and demonstration areas, the free seminar programme will return for 2022 in a socially-distanced format. Subject matter addressed includes energy reduction, new technology, innovation, supply chain and business strategy, and an overview of prevailing industrial and post Brexit regulations.

Rigorous anti-infection precautions, among them purified fresh air ventilation within the facility helps to make Farnborough International Exhibition a comparatively low-risk environment. There’s complimentary car parking for 3,500 vehicles and the venue is equipped with a high standard of facilities such as a free WiFi service and excellent quality catering on site.

You will find free car parking for 3,500 vehicles and the area is well-served by road and public transport links. A frequent dedicated bus service travels from both of Farnborough’s mainline railway stations directly to the event.

Southern Manufacturing & Electronics 2022 opens from February 8th to 10th. Admission to the exhibition is free of charge. More information and tickets are available from www.industrysouth.co.uk
