The West Midlands manufacturer is proud to publicise the benefits their local production facility brings to its customers both in the UK and abroad.

Tony Glasscoe, Managing Director, explains: “The success story of Petrel, which was established over 30 years ago is the achievement of deserved recognition as a global high quality brand within its field. As a champion of British Industry and a local employer committed to training and developing its workforce, it’s heartening to be making investments and developing new products using the very latest technology here in the heart of the West Midlands manufacturing Industry.

We work with, and ship to, customers all around the world on a daily basis. It gives the whole team here an immense sense of pride when we produce and supply products to global customers from our UK base here in the Midlands whilst supporting other local businesses in our supply chain. Even better news is that our in house end-to-end production brings a host of benefits for our customers too. In particular, single site production delivers speedy results and offers a considerable amount of flexibility on production schedules to ensure that customers are presented with highly competitive lead times. This flexibility can also extend to the supply of bespoke or customised solutions for customers to provide added value beyond the standard
catalogue offer.
Petrel’s supply chain is built on the firm foundations of British design and engineering utilising a broad scope of talented technical experts. Our team is passionate about creating the highest quality hazardous area lighting for customers, whether they are based in mainland UK, Europe or further afield in the Middle and Far East markets.

All our hazardous area lighting is tested in the UK to the relevant ATEX certification standards, which are recognised throughout the world. Petrel work closely with industry bodies when developing and testing their new products – resulting in thoroughly tested, world class products that we are proud to supply.”
