TÜV SÜD Product Service, an international expert in product safety testing and certification, has a new programme of half day training courses for 2013, providing an overview of the EU ATEX directives.

The new training courses aims to give participants an introduction to the ATEX directives, understanding about what causes an explosion, ATEX equipment, product marking and the associated CE marking directives which relate to ATEX. The course has been designed for product designers, project managers and those who work in the industries to which the ATEX Directives apply.

The course complements TÜV SÜD Product Service’s new ATEX Safety Service which supports manufacturers to interpret and comply with regulations to reduce the risk to their workers. The service includes comprehensive site safety reviews including the identification of possible ignition sources, equipment inspection, as well as practical control, mitigation techniques and assurance to manufacturers of machinery for use in potentially explosive environments.

Dates and locations for 2013 are as follows:

·         12th February 2013 – Fareham

·         21st May 2013 – Fareham
